pt. 2

Return of the DMV ( sounds kinda like return of the jedi only not quite as cool). This was the start of my day....



Yup thats right I was on the line to hell this morning. SO I get up to the "gatekeepr" who points which line you go to and he says " ahhh the knitter is back" well okay then... I guess I have a rep now at the dmv so I smile and say yeah hi there ( what I wanted to say was please hold this glove i am working on so I can snap a photo of you for my blog ) but i digress. He points to line 1 and says go there... So I am waiting again then the guy says ok miss please get out of your car and do the "walk of fame" to the little waiting area. I sit there and wait and wait and wait finally I passed thank goodness.
I was browsing the blogs and saw a link for Holidailies since I couldnt post every day in November I decided to give in another shot for dec. I also joined another but I will discuss that tomm ( i need to pace my blog fodder if I am doing this for another month) for now Peace out

I know thats not how the song goes but well I have spent 3/4's of my day in the seventh circcle of hell otherwise known as the New Jersey D.M.V. i started there early this morning and did not get done with inspection until 2:45... I got bored so i took a picture of this


while I was there I worked on this...



there was much more knitting done but i didnt take anymore pictures so I'll post them later on. The reason why no more pics is in story 2.
Now here is my rant of the day... I was knitting in my car on that interminable line and this DMV dude asked me if I am knitting for the "baby"? now I know I might be a little fluffy but there is no way that I look pregnant? Just saying what is it about knitting that sends a signal to people about babies.

Story number 2 at least was fun. This adorable guy comes up to me and asked me what I am knitting and I said a glove. He said thats a pretty tiny glove I guess you arent making it for me... so I chuckled. He continued discussing my knitting and interests and stuff and then at the end he asked me out for coffee ometime and gave me his number so.. tee hee i guess i dont look thhaaat preggers.

After all of this i failed inspection (twice) and now have fixed the problem so guess where i am going tomm ? Yep the DMV... wonder if cutie will be back??

Knitting + T.V. =knitting tv??

Yay Gilmore Girls!! I was soo stoked with the knitting episode of Gilmore tonight. I am deeply coveting Loreleis fingerless mitts with the argyle on them and already plotting how to make them. So tonight Lorelei, Suki, and friends were my little S&B group they knit their stuff and I knit mine...



In 1 hour I finished yet another votive holder but a beaded one this time. I am thinking this may be the perfect gift. We shall see how long the wrists can take all this wire knitting but they are fun. I think i am gonna log off for tonight i am kinda to sleepy to think so , Peace Out

Been seeing beaded wire votive holders all over bloggy land and thought that might make a nifty gift for a few people on the aforementioned list. Without further ado...




ACTUAL KNITTING CONTENT on my blog... Yay so the details are 26 guage wire, bamboo needles, and under an hour and cute little votive is done . Next one I am going to try and bead to see what that looks like but this has definite possibility as opposed to my photo taking which does not seem to have possibility but...

I am in a holiday kind of mood?

Hmm. Ended that in a question mark because I am not sure that I am really in a holiday mood yet. Unseasonably warm east coast weather is not helping (how do people in like CA or FL deal??) Compound the fact of the other stuff that has bee going on and well voila , se es mui ( I think that was grammatically correct in French) I know I need to get cracking on Chrismakkuh gifts... But I cant seem to hanker down and do it. So here is my plan ... tomm evening I have a date with my computer and a cup of hot cocoa and my absolute fave holiday CD and I am going to make some lists the card list and the gift list with gift ideas. I need to get organized... So here's to makin some lists which I'll definitely check twice...

Thanksgiving MeMe

Rectangular shawl from blue sky continues to confound me... I am nont sur what my deal is... I am not leaving anything out or doing anything twice yet somehow i either come up a stiych too short (boy is that a metaphor for life) or somehoe have too many. What annoys me further is its a very simple straight forward pattern that I can catch. So Instead I will talk about something that is not annoying me. I am currently readingJulie & Julia -My Year Of Cooking Dangerously by Julie Powell.What a cool book it kinda makes me wanna try my own little cooking challenge. i was a good girl

Today for the first time in a long time I was a very good girl and watche what I put in my mouth. In less then 2 months time i have to fit in a dress that is not designed for a girl of my shape ( y'all know the big girls "b"s right??) so this accentuates the b i like to hide the most. So now the theory is if i wanna look pretty for this wedding ( my best friends wedding) I better lose 10-15 lbs which is totall doable. As of now the dress closes but it is definately not a good look. am hoping I can ccement this diet thing by the end of the week and then add some activity to my very sedentary lifestyle. Aren't You the little joiner....

I have gone and done it again... I joined another knitalong... the Fall Cable Knitalong so now I have to decide what I wanna knit. I am thinking of starting with a besotted scarf (from Hello Yarn), linking is so beyond my capabilities today, and then work my way up som something else like dum dum dum ( imagine a lil drumroll if you will) a cabled loosey goosey sweater. Something to ponder I guess.

i am a rain cloud today

No knitting content yet, so instead i will write about accomplishment. For the longest time there has been little to no sense of accomplishment in my life. Sure there have been little things, learning to knit a cable, making an awesome new dish, figuring out something nifty while sewing, but nothing real and substantial. I used to be someone who could accomplish anything. I never had a life ruled by anxiety , or maybe I did and I just never knew it. One small road block was put in my way and i have gone spiraling to a place that I know I don't wanna be but I am not sure how to get out of. Maybe by typing this and putting it out there in this large vast abyss we call the world wide web can be my first step in a new direction. I am so eager for fulfillment not in a monetary sense but I would love to be happy, not giggling girl happy, but truly happy. I am ready to take the next step I want real relationships both friendly and otherwise. This is a whiny post but today has been a really suck sucky day and this was the best venting post for me.
